To make their site even more secure Mecca Bingo are updating the way they process credit and debit card payments.

From Thursday 1st May onwards Mecca members will be able to protect their online transactions with either the 'Verified by Visa' or 'Mastercard Secure Code' services (depending on who your card is provided by).

These services provide the equivalent level of security as having pin numbers for your credit or debit cards online and so help to ensure that no one else but you is able to make a deposit or withdrawal using your card.

If you already have a Verified by Visa or Secure Code account set up elsewhere online you will be able to use the same password (which you'll need to enter when requesting a deposit or withdrawal). However, if you don't yet have your cards registered you'll simply need to choose a password to use.

In an age when we have to be increasingly careful with our personal details, it's great to see Mecca Bingo taking that extra step to ensure that we're protected when we're online.
